Park Inn by Radisson will make its debut in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2019
The hotel is located on the main road linking the airport, just 2.7km away, to the CBD of Africa’s capital city. Addis Ababa is referred to as “the political capital of Africa”, due to its historical, diplomatic and political significance for the continent. It is where the African Union hosts the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and numerous other continental and international organizations. It also houses the third largest concentration of embassies in the world.
Andrew McLachlan, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Africa & Indian Ocean for the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, said, “We are delighted to bring our colorful midscale hotel brand to Ethiopia. The 160-room Park Inn by Radisson Addis Ababa will offer a mixture of standard rooms and suites.
“The Park Inn by Radisson Addis Ababa is our second Ethiopian deal announcement within the week. Developing a fourth Carlson Rezidor property in the country is in line with our strategy of going into the depth of the market. Ethiopia is most definitely a key market for Carlson Rezidor, considering Ethiopia has the second largest population in Africa and is expected to remain among Africa’s and the world’s fastest growth GDP economies,” added McLachlan.
